In this ten-day course you will have the opportunity to learn from experienced and passionate teachers. You can expect to deepen your asana practice and refine your teaching skills. You will study, practice, sequence, adjust, give and receive feedback and teach amongst and to fellow teachers.
Upon completion of the course you will receive a 75hr certificate of completion from Sampoorna Yoga, recognizing your continued training and work.
Take your personal practice to the next level with strong and challenging vinyasa flow classes. Each morning asana class will have one lead teacher and one assistant teacher offering hands-on adjustments.
Explore your mind/body possibilities and enjoy being a student again.
The evening classes will be a mix of flow, yin or restorative yoga.
Further revise and enhance your hands-on adjustments.
Being able to teach and offer students hands-on assists in your classes is such an invaluable skill that can transform casual students into avid followers. You will have the opportunity to practice these adjustments in the theory AND morning asana classes.
The art of intelligent sequencing:
Learn how to sequence intelligently, how to prepare the body for peak asanas and how to integrate the effects of the practice. Understand the rules of sequencing but also how to work around them to deliver creative, safe classes. Learn how to design a class for beginners, intermediate and advanced students.
Develop your teaching skills in order to constantly reflect, grow and improve the way you lead, teach and sequence.
Guide fellow students through your sequences, refine your voice as a teacher and consolidate your previous experience.
Renowned and dedicated teachers who have been leading 200 and 300 hour trainings at Sampoorna, will take you on this journey.
Joanna’s hands-on adjustments and her ability to guide students to the next level will take you deeper into you practice.
Joanna has been practicing Ashtanga regularly for the last six years and enjoys teaching both ashtanga and vinyasa classes. She has completed Ashtanga TTC in San Francisco, Greece, and a 300 hour Vinyasa TTC at Sampoorna and also workshops with Eddie Stern, Manju Jois, Laruga Glaser, Dylan Werner and David Garrigues.
Alan’s precise alignment cues will give you a deeper understanding of the foundations so you can safely work towards more advanced postures.
Alan has completed both his 200 and 300 hour courses at Sampoorna Yoga. He’s also trained in Rocket Yoga with Amber Gean and David Kyle and enjoyed workshops with Dylan Werner and Sri Dharma Mittra. His style is energetic, dynamic and unorthodox. As well as Rocket yoga, his personal practice involves a lot of Dharma Yoga. These influences can be seen in his playful inversion and back-bending filled classes.
Rowie has a natural talent and passion for sequencing.
Rowie has 500 hours of training at Sampoorna Yoga and has never stopped being a student, with more than 1000 hours of training behind her with some of the worlds best known teachers.
Rowie’s greatest influences are Dana Trixie Flynn (Laughing Lotus New York City), Megan Currie, Paul Grilley, Sarah Powers, Patrick Beach, Ana Forest and many more. Whilst Vinyasa Yoga is Rowie’s passion, it is closely followed by Yin Yoga and meditation having also trained in these Yoga fields.
The course will take place at Evia Silence, just 2.5 hours away from Athens, on Evia Island. The retreat center has a beautiful yoga shala overlooking the crystal clear sea.
Evia Silence is conveniently located just a five minute walk from Porto Buffalo beach, where you can enjoy lunch in a local taverna and swim in crystal clear refreshing waters.
You can also relax at the retreat centre which provides luxurious sun beds for soaking up all that crucial vitamin D.
June is one of the most pleasant months in Greece as it is the beginning of the summer, with perfect temperatures – typically in the high 20’s.
The food is prepared with the finest local ingredients. Greek honey, the creamiest of yogurts, feta cheese and fresh salads are few of the delicacies we will be satisfying our palates with.
Vegans will also be extremely well catered for with delicious olives and the freshest local produce.
With Athens so close-by, it’s a great opportunity to explore Athens before or after your course. Rich in culture, steeped in history and tradition, this trip will be one to remember.

How to get there
Upon arrival at Athens airport (ATH), take the train to Neratziotissa station. (26 minutes)
Change trains and take the green train up to Kato Patissia station. (10-15 minutes ride) Exit through Acharnon exit. Walk 130 meters until the bus terminal called KTEL HALKIDAS. Take the bus from there that goes to Aliveri village. (there is a bus leaving every 90 minutes) Let us know what time you got the bus so the driver of the retreat center can pick you up from Aliveri. The cost is €25 – €28 per ride. We will create a Facebook group with all the students so you can meet up and share the journey.
