Morning asana classes

Our asana curriculum is equally split between Ashtanga and Vinyasa, meaning that you will practice three Ashtanga and three Vinyasa classes per week. The Ashtanga classes will progress gradually, while the Vinyasa classes will usually include pranayama, warm-up, sun salutations + variations, basic, medium difficulty and advanced yoga postures, postural alignment, deep relaxation techniques, shavasana and chanting.

Teaching Methodology

During this module, you will learn essential sequencing principles in order to create your own Vinyasa Flow classes. We will look at the difference between sequencing for more experienced students and working with beginners. There will be lots of practical teaching, planning, guidance and feedback on how to improve and enhance these skills.

You will also learn how to demonstrate asanas, (reasons to demo, when, why, how), how to hold the seat of a teacher and the energy of the class, how to project your voice, how to modify asanas, how to work with an open level class and how to give verbal instructions.
