During this retreat, you will learn more about yourself, through the beautiful journey of the Ashtanga practice. You will quiet down the mind, your inner critique and focus more on the journey of the self-transformation. Most of our suffering is caused by emotions, because we identify with them, causing negative results. An emotion is a re-living of a previously imprinted condition.Whenever we are emoting, we are in the past. Whenever we are feeling, we are in the present.
Yoga makes you FEEL more intensely because it removes layers of old conditioning. And that is when the journey of self transformation begins…
Program of the retreat:
There will be 2 daily classes. Each morning we will practice ashtanga yoga. The class will be led and modifications of the postures will be given. It is not necessary to be familiar with the sequence of ashtanga. However, it is recommended that you are in a good physical form as ashtanga is more dynamic than other styles of yoga. Greek, hearty and delicious breakfast will be served at the villa, which will be served by Joanna, but any helping hands will be welcome… After breakfast, there will be plenty of time to explore the island untill the afternoon class, which will start at about 6:30pm or 7:00pm. You can relax by the villa’s swimming pool, read a book, do water sports on Santa Maria beach, go swimming at the nearby beach…
The afternoon class will be in a vinyasa flow style, to detoxify and make the body light and strong. We will create balance between body and mind, by moving along with the breath and bringing the mind into a state of stilness. One afternoon will be free.
Dinner can be served at any restaurant/taverna of your choice or you can even cook at the villa. Siparos, one of the island’s most famous restaurants is only 500 meters from the villa.
Retreat highlights:
7 nights accomodation, 2 dinners at the villa, (first and last night) daily vegetarian breakfast, led ashtanga and vinyasa classes, one workshop on headstand and handstand, pranayama practice in the afternoon.
Accomodation: The villa is built acording to the traditional architecture of the island. The balconies and the verandas have panoramic view to the Aegean Sea. Accomodation can be in sinlge or double occupancy. The villa is built on three levels, therefore giving enough space for privacy. It has a fully equipped kitchen, 1 indoor living room,verandas, terrace for relaxing and one big swimming pool. It has 5 bedrooms in total. Three of them have garden view and two of them have sea view. One bedroom has an ensuite bathroom.
Things to do: Swim on the beach, explore the island, water sports, snorkle, diving, relax by the pool, visit the Venetian castle in Parikia, visit the 6th century church called Katapoliani, visit the traditional villages, hike, ride a horse, rent a bike, shop souvenirs, jewellery…

Transportation (from the port or airport of Paros) to the villa is included in the price.
How to get to Paros:
You will have to fly to Athens International Airport Eleftherios Venizelos (ATH), then take the bus that takes you to Piraeus port. From there, you will have to take the ferry to Paros. The bus that connects the airport with the port, runs every 20 minutes and the journey to the port takes about 90 minutes. (the bus is named X96) Check the ferry schedule for Paros atwww.ferries.gr
There is also another port in Athens, which is called Rafina, and it is closer to the airport. You can also take the ferry from there. But the bus that runs from the airport to Rafina port, is not that often. (2 buses per hour, it is called KTEL)
